  1. Skradin: Really Good Food!: April 30 & May 1

Restaurants in Skradin offer special menus with a focus on seasonal ingredients such as šparoga i čuvenog skradinskog rižota.

Here’s what you can expect in Skradin’s restaurants (such as Cantinette, Zlatne školjke, or Bonaca) during the week around May 1st, 2026: Skradin risotto: Although available throughout the season, this event often highlights its traditional preparation, which can take up to 12 hours. Seasonal specialties: The focus is on dishes made with local olive oil, young lamb, fresh local fish, and, of course, creative asparagus-based dishes. Wine pairing: Local winemakers (such as Bibich, Sladić, or Ante Sladić) often collaborate with restaurants to offer tastings of indigenous varieties like Debit and Maraština, which pair beautifully with spring dishes. This event is especially appealing as it avoids the peak summer crowds while offering top-quality gastronomy at promotional prices.
