From April to October, the promenade in the St. Anthony Channel and St. Nicholas Fortress offer programs focused on active tourism, education, and the celebration of UNESCO heritage.
St. Nicholas Fortress (UNESCO)
The new season of organized boat tours begins on April 25, 2026 and runs until October 18, 2026.
- Fortress Night 2026: Planned for early May (usually around May 8–9). As part of the event, visitors can expect free guided tours, workshops, and special concerts.
- Celebration of the 9th UNESCO anniversary: In mid-July (around July 12, 2026), a special program will be held dedicated to the fortress’s inclusion on the World Heritage List.
- Multimedia tours: Throughout the season, visitors can use personalized tablets with augmented reality (AR) for an educational journey through the history of the fortress.
St. Anthony Channel Promenade and Visitor Center
The promenade is open to visitors year-round, but during the season it hosts a range of special events:
- Interpretive walks: As part of events such as “Fortress Night” and special weekends in May, guided tours are organized with professional educators.
- Aktivnosti u Posjetiteljskom centru “Kanal sv. Ante”:
- Light is Life (August 28, 2026): Although the main focus is on the city waterfront, some installations and light effects (such as drone shows or illuminated sailboats) are often visible from the channel, celebrating the arrival of alternating current in Šibenik.
